Student-Athlete Employee Speech

In 2015, Donald De La Haye joined the University of Central Florida ("UCF") football team after a successful career as a high school kicker in Florida. As a freshman and sophomore, he saw intermittent playing time-he contributed to the team, but never made a mark as a star player on the field. Off the field, however, he became "a YouTube star," operating a channel, Deestroying, that garnered a loyal following of approximately 700,000 subscribers. More than one million viewers watched numerous of his videos.
